Orders placed after July 1st can be picked up at Level Up in Houghton.

Copper Country Humane Society named as Canal Run Gives Back 2024 Partner

The 2024 Canal Run will be a benefit event for the Copper Country Humane Society, an animal shelter that offers so much more to the Copper Country community.

The Copper Country Humane Society is a non-profit (501c3) organization that is dedicated to the welfare and humane treatment of animals. CCHS provides services for Keweenaw, Baraga and Houghton counties plus the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community (KBIC). 100 percent of the money needed for vet care, spay/neuter and medical needs for the 900 animals CCHS cares for annually is raised through monthly fundraising events and private donations.

"Our community is lucky to have such a wonderful place focused on the wellbeing of our pets," said Angela Luskin, race director of the Canal Run. "Our whole committee is excited to work with them to help keep our animals safe and our community members happy with their household pet."
